Kuala Lumpur to host Iranian-Malaysian painting exhibit

TEHRAN -- A group of Iranian and Malaysian artists are due to hold a joint exhibition of paintings under the title “Art Connexion” in Kuala Lumpur that opens on June 25.

Five Iranian and five Malaysian artists will put their contemporary paintings on display at the Cube Gallery to help strengthen bilateral cooperation, director of the gallery Ali-Asghar Yaqubi said in a press release on Friday.
Officiated by Director General of the National Art Gallery Dato' Dr Muhamed Najib Ahmad Dawa, the exhibition will run until July 7.
Asghar Yaqubi, Hamidreza Purbahrami, Hedieh Khajezadeh, Farahnaz Panah, and Katayun Moqaddam are the five Iranian artists.
Organizers are planning to hold the same exhibition in Iran in the upcoming months, Yaqubi said.
